Water Rideau Canal - one of the main attractions of Ottawa, Canada's capital. It was built in 6 years, from 1826 to 1832, it is an unusually short time for those years. Haste in building due to the fact that the Government of Canada, because of the military actions of the Canadian colony of the British empire against the United States, feared war with the United States of America.
